Benevolent Fund

Helping Those in Need of Assistance

What is a benevolent fund?

At SouthPort it is our desire to rally around those in need.

The benevolent fund is a fund set up by the congregation of SouthPort to help support people who are un-expectantly finding themselves in a crisis requiring financial assistance. The fund is carefully managed by a team appointed by the Leadership Team consisting of three people. This team meets as needed and makes decisions on the benevolent requests that are submitted.

We believe that when we serve those in need that we are also serving Christ. ( Matthew 25:35-40)

What qualifies for assistance from the benevolent fund?

A utility bill payment

Fuel for a vehicle

Groceries

Disaster assistance

How to give to the benevolent fund

You can give cash or cheque directly to the benevolent fund by filling out an offering envelope and clearly marked “benevolent fund” on the envelope.

If you are giving by cheque, please make cheque payable to SouthPort Pentecostal Church.
